Another “I Live Alone” Star Suspected Amid “Auntie’s” Illegal Practice Scandal—Video Evidence Resurfaces
The ripple effects of comedian Park Na Rae’s “Auntie” scandal are now spreading rapidly among her circle of co-stars. Following SHINee’s Key and YouTube creator Haetnim, I Live Alone star Jun Hyun Moo has also been drawn into the controversy, with questions being raised over possible illegal medical practices.
Amid the revelations, as Park Na Rae, SHINee’s Key, and Haetnim have all successively announced suspensions of their activities, photos of Jun Hyun Moo receiving an IV drop while being driven in a vehicle have begun circulating online.
“Amazing Saturday” Cast Revealed To Be Tied To Park Na Rae And SHINee Key’s Unlicensed Doctor
The photos in question were actually aired on MBC’s I Live Alone. At the time, it was seen as Jun Hyun Moo battling his packed day by getting an IV infusion inside his car on the move to his next schedule. However, in light of the recent controversy surrounding Park Na Rae and her unlicensed “auntie’s” illegal medical practices, the legality of this act has now come under scrutiny.
Wikitree reported that, under the current Korean medical law, all medical procedures must be carried out exclusively within legally registered and licensed medical institutions, such as hospitals, clinics, or long-term care facilities.
According to the Medical Service Act, even if a licensed physician personally administered the IV drip, the act would still clearly violate the law unless Jun Hyun Moo’s vehicle itself was a location officially registered as a medical facility. In other words, a doctor’s license certifies the qualifications of the individual performing the medical act, but it does not exempt the requirement that the act take place in a legally permitted location.
There are exceptions, though limited to very specific circumstances. For example, emergency treatments provided by paramedics or doctors inside ambulances or medical care administered at temporary medical facilities approved by local governments during disasters or large-scale events would be exempt.
But again, outside these cases, administering IV fluids while traveling in a private vehicle is illegal. Jun Hyun Moo’s personal vehicle shown on I Live Alone would not qualify—and therefore, the photos showing the TV star getting the IV drip in this non-medical setting would be evidence constituting a violation of the law.
The resurfaced photo and episode have since reignited scrutiny on the Korean entertainment industry’s lax approach to health and safety, with fans calling for stricter enforcement.
- “I heard that a long time ago, this wasn’t illegal. But it’s surprising that people still do it so openly after all these years.”
- “There are so many stories about celebrities on regional events being so busy that they get IV drips on the go…”
- “Just because a lot of people have been doing so doesn’t mean it’s not illegal lol. Whether it was common practice or not, so what?”
- “Yeah, we should correct this immediately.”
- “Whoa, so it wasn’t allowed to get an IV at the hospital and then bring it home? I was young when it happened, but I once had it hooked up in a car like that…”
- “I think a lot of busy, traveling celebrities must have done this.”
- “Wow… He’ll need to be investigated too.”
- “These people provide such services illegally just to make money… This really needs to be stopped once and for all.”
- “It’s no wonder celebrities lack a sense of reality… They really seem to live in a completely different world.”
- “At this rate, this isn’t just the ‘Auntie’s’ problem anymore. So many celebrities are going to get caught.”
- “If this is illegal, then just don’t allow it from now on. Excusing all these celebrities because they’re busy and it’s common practice? How does that make any sense? There are so many crazy comments here lol.”
