Lee Soo Hyuk, Lee Da Hee, And Arin Share Thoughts On "S LINE," Being Invited To Cannes International Series Festival, And More

The cast of “S LINE” recently participated in a photo shoot with the fashion magazine Cosmopolitan Korea! Based on the webtoon of the same name, “S LINE” is a fantasy thriller in which red lines suddenly appear above people’s heads, connecting them to people with whom they have had physical relationships and thus revealing sensitive personal information overnight. This red line is called the “S Line” and can only be seen but not physically touched. Lee Soo Hyuk plays Ji Wook, a detective who is simultaneously investigating a murder case and the secret behind the S Line. Lee Da Hee plays Gyu Jin, a high school teacher who, despite her attractive appearance, has no S Lines at all. OH MY GIRL’s Arin stars as Hyun Heup, a high school student who has been able to see the S Line since birth. In an interview following the photo shoot, the cast members shared behind-the-scenes stories, their thoughts on the drama, and their experience being invited to the 8th annual Cannes International Series Festival. When asked what the main appeal of “S LINE” is, Lee Soo Hyuk shared,”The premise itself—people being connected by a red string if they’ve had sexual relations—is quite provocative. It’s fascinating to see how people react when they discover someone’s secret private life. Even if you set aside the ‘S Line’ concept, it’s worth watching just to observe the duality of human nature.” Lee Da Hee added, “I’d describe it as a series that reveals all the raw emotions humans keep hidden—their instincts, desires, and everything they conceal inside.” Arin remarked, “I think viewers will feel a constant sense of mystery while watching it.” When asked how she approached the character of Hyun Heup, a girl with the unique ability to see the S Lines, Arin shared, “Since my character is the only one in the story with this ability, I really thought hard about how to make sure she didn’t feel out of place. I tried to find a way to blend her in well with the other characters while still highlighting what makes her special. Hyun Heup is very different from who I am in real life, so I tried to bring out aspects of myself that are the opposite of my usual personality.” She continued, “I communicated a lot with the director. Thanks to that, I gradually became more immersed in Hyun Heup as filming progressed.” Back in April, “S LINE” was officially invited to the 8th annual Cannes International Series Festival, where the lead actors and director walked the pink carpet. Lee Da Hee commented, “I was really disappointed that I couldn’t be there, but seeing Lee Soo Hyuk and Arin on the pink carpet was amazing. I kept wondering what it felt like—what was going through their minds.” Lee Soo Hyuk remarked, “Even now, I still feel honored to have gone to a place I had only dreamed about. At the time, it felt so unreal that I couldn’t even fully enjoy it.
