Shin Min Ah Revealed To Have Gone The Mile For Kim Woo Bin Before They Married

The wedding officiant’s address by Venerable Pomnyun Sunim for actors Kim Woo Bin and Shin Min Ah has been made public, leading many to finally find out the great lengths that Shin went to for her husband.

On the 23rd, the Jungto Society website uploaded the officiant’s address delivered by Pomnyun Sunim at the wedding ceremony which took place on December 20, 2025, at the Shilla Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul. The background behind how Pomnyun Sunim came to officiate their wedding was also revealed.

It was Kim Woo Bin who requested Beopryun Sunim to officiate the ceremony

“Not long ago, actor Kim Woo Bin visited the monk and asked him to officiate his wedding. During Kim Woo Bin’s battle with nasopharyngeal cancer in 2017, he received great mental and emotional support through counseling with the monk, and actress Shin Min Ah also found the monk’s comfort to be a great source of strength while caring for him. This shared connection led to the request.”

In his speech, Pomnyun Sunim claimed that Shin Min Ah, despite not being Buddhist, carried a heavy rice offering on her head to pray for Kim Woo Bin to get better.

“I have known the two of you for a long time. Min-ah is warm-hearted and kind, and for over a decade she has consistently sponsored efforts to help underprivileged children. Woo Bin once went through a difficult time due to poor health, and Min Ah carried a sack of rice on her head and went to Gwanseum Bodhisattva at Namsan in Gyeongju to pray together, transcending religion. After that, Woo Bin regained his health, and the fact that the two of them are now standing here today, holding hands and promising to live their lives together as husband and wife, is truly the result of a profound bond.”

Kim Woo Bin and Shin Min Ah had been publicly dating since 2015 and, after ten years, became husband and wife on the 20th. Pomnyun Sunim officiated the ceremony, actor Lee Kwang Soo served as the master of ceremonies, and singer Car, the garden performed the congratulatory song.
